My 101 Steps

I have decided to create a list of 101 things that I would to do within the next 1001 days. My challenge will start on Sunday 23rd August 2009 and the 1001 days will end on Sunday 20th May 2012. I thought it would be a good way to structure things to keep me focused towards things that I want to work towards and achieve. I have not managed to complete my 101 list but thought I would make a start and add to it as I feel necessary. At the moment my list features 69 steps.

Here is the list:


  1. Lose weight – Get weight down to 12 stone
  2. Lose weight – Get weight down to 10 stone
  3. Pass my Pet Sitting course and get my qualification
  4. Pass my animal care degree and get my qualification
  5. Try my hand at falconry
  6. Eat 5 portions of fruit and vegetables every day
  7. Make an entry every day on my animal related blogs
  8. Make an entry every day on my 101 steps blog
  9. Update networking sites on a daily basis
  10. Do the race for life in 2010
  11. Spend some time every week with my mum
  12. List 20 items on ebay every week
  13. De-clutter the living room – list all unwanted items on ebay / free cycle
  14. De-clutter the office – list all unwanted items on ebay / free cycle
  15. De-clutter the spare room – list all unwanted items on ebay / free cycle
  16. De-clutter the kitchen – list all unwanted items on ebay / free cycle

  20. Spend more time with son and partner
  21. Spend at least an hour every day having some me time
  22. Go horse riding at least once a week
  23. Pay off my personal loan
  24. Pay off household bills
  25. Pay off catalogue bills
  26. Pay off credit cards
  27. Visit the Scottish Island known as the Isle of Mull
  28. Obtain a job that involves working with animals
  29. Grow my hair long again
  30. Learn how to grow my own vegetables and start doing so
  31. Get married
  32. Find a more suitable house to rent until I can buy
  33. Save money toward the wedding
  34. Go on a hot air balloon trip
  35. Have a party for my 30th Birthday
  36. Invest in a new bed
  37. Set monthly spending budgets and stick to them
  38. Save money to buy my first house
  39. Get a new car – ideally a land cruiser
  40. Locate suitable stabling for a horse close to my home
  41. Get my own horse
  42. Start training as a veterinary nurse
  43. Revamp my wardrobe – sell unwanted clothing and footwear
  44. Completely cut out take aways
  45. Go out as a family once a week
  46. Complete work as it is set out in diary
  47. Visit Dublin with my family
  48. Take family to Euro Disney
  49. Get my son into some sort of routine
  50. Clean my car at least once a fortnight
  51. Learn the art of show jumping
  52. Sort a cleaning schedule for the house and stick to it
  53. Keep on top of the washing and ironing
  54. Start competing with my own horse
  55. Get a border collie
  56. Learn the art of canine agility
  57. Learn the art of fly ball
  58. Write my first autobiography
  59. Write my first animal related book
  60. Get my first animal book printed and market it
  61. Get 30 minutes exercise every day
  62. Go on a camping trip at least once a year
  63. Achieve BHS exams
  64. Earn extra money working with horses
  65. Go to horse of the year show in 2010
  66. Visit a dentist and see about getting my teeth sorted prior to getting married
  67. Use all the points I collect from things such as club card and nectar.
  68. Take a trip in a helicopter
  69. Make £2000 per month through various jobs.
  70. Get a decent amount of sleep every night
